SkelligBlue is being established initially as a bespoke management consulting for the International Shares Services (ISS) / Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) needs of large multinationals and corporates.

We are currently focused on being specialist Shared Services / BPO consultants only. In mid to late 2018, SkelligBlue will be establishing its own Shared Services Centre. This will allow SkelligBlue to provide to clients a full menu of Managed Services whereby SkelligBlue manage all aspects of the clients business under contract. It will be a full outsourcing arrangement and SkelligBlue will be responsible for the hiring of staff, provision of premises and IT and the complete management of the company’s affairs to an agreed service protocol. In the meantime we have a number of strategic partners with whom we work to provide managed services on the basis of an agreed SLA to our clients.

Independent Shared Services.  In certain cases clients will decide, upon completion of the full feasibility and implementation review, to self-manage their own operation. This is entirely at their discretion. If clients chose this model, SkelligBlue will offer interim management support and management consultancy services to the company as it moves through the phases of implementation towards commencement and start-up. HISTORY

The mystic Skellig Michael is an uninhabited pinnacle of rock jutting out of the Atlantic Ocean, rising 750 feet above sea level and it is just 11 miles from the small Kerry fishing village of Portmagee. The ruins of an ancient monastery stand eerily at the island’s peak.

Skellig Michael was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. SkelligBlue takes its name and inspiration from these spellbinding islands. The quality of work undertaken, and the towering strength of this awe inspiring collaboration between man and nature, has lasted for over a thousand years. The planning, execution and delivery of this site makes Skellig Michael a unique example of what can be achieved and a force to be reckoned with.

The larger of the two Skellig Islands and located southwest of Valentia Island, Skellig Michael is not a tourist destination for the faint of heart nor for those with a fear of heights. Some time between the sixth and eight centuries, a monastery was founded on this precipitous rock giving rise to one of the most dramatic examples of the extremes of Christian monasticism.

Small steps cut into the rock by Irish monks over a thousand years ago lead up to the world-famous and astonishingly well-preserved early Christian monastic site with its amazing beehive huts. It is a spectacular site restricted to 150 visitors per day to protect this unique early religious settlement and the resident colonies of puffins, Manx shearwaters and storm petrels. The Skelligs, primarily Little Skellig, also hold some 27,000 pairs of Northern gannets, the second largest colony in the world. Little Skellig is protected and people are not permitted there.
